Why You Should Use Recruitment Agencies to get Jobs

71

By world of the wise

Some people opt for them immediately after acquiring their papers; others fear them, they regard them as companies of cone men, while others love them and have got good jobs through them. I am talking about recruitment agencies.

The existence of recruitment agencies dates back in 1650 in Britain. Currently with the increased rate of unemployment on a global scale, there are many recruitment agencies taken advantage of by both organisations and job seekers.

An employment agency serves both the employers and job seekers. Job seekers are linked to employers. Many businesses and companies use them to find suitable employees while job seekers search for them as well to aid them get jobs.

How they work

Most recruitment agencies have websites where jobseekers can link up with them. Locally most of them have designated offices where jobseekers and companies reach them for their services. Employment agencies maintain a database of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers available for hire.

Some recruitment agencies use head hunters. These instead of waiting for people in their offices, get individuals (Head hunters) who move out to approach people and companies to come and use their recruitment services.

Some recruiting agencies charge a given amount of money just to connect a job seeker to a particular organisation while some charge a small registration fee and deduct a small amount of money per month for some few month after one gets a job.

How they work for a Job seeker

They offer connections

For a job seeker, after an endless search of a job with countless applications and fruitless interviews, it is also good to try a recruitment agency. Though they operate for profit they have the potential of selling your skills to big companies with ease because finding jobs is their work.

Some of them have a global reach; they thus have the potential of selling ones skills across boarders. While those operating at the local level are familiar with the local job market .They are also aware of new companies in need of workers on top of that they are they are aware of the recruitment dates in different companies.

They advertise existing job opportunities

Recruitment agencies advertise job opportunities; after that they conduct interviews and identify potential candidates and send him or her to that particular organisation that made a contract to get an employee.

They offer training on how to apply successfully

Besides offering recruitment services, these agencies train jobseekers on how to apply successfully. They train in cover letter writing, CV writing and answering interview questions.

To employers

For companies and organisations, recruitment agencies save time of recruitment for instance handling application letters and conducting interviews. These companies are able to provide the right employee in the shortest time.

It is also cost effective in a way that they save companies of having big recruitment departments and maintaining staff even when there is no serious recruitment taking place.

Finding the Best employees

Recruitment agencies with a global reach and local job market scale are able to look for good employees from a wider perspective.

Some dangers

With the increased rate of unemployment in most countries, cone men take advantage of job seekers by attaching themselves to recruitment agencies they do not work for ,most of them masquerade as head hunters of particular organisations yet they are not. It is there fore important to use a recruitment agency with a proper address not to lose money to cone men.
