69It is usually a desire of any company of organization that employees should increase on their work performance. Increased output or service delivery in a company or organization is associated with increased profitability, increased customer retention, an enhanced corporate image among other benefits.
Here are some ways to increase work performance as an employee.
Draw a plan
In order to increase on your performance it is good to have a clear plan of your targets deadlines and how to fulfill them. This plan a plan acts as a compass for the direction to avoid tendencies of acting haphazardly.
Be positive
At your workplace, maintain a positive attitude. Communicate well with fellow workers, the boss and clients. With a positive attitude, clients will long for you to attend to them. Your fellow workers will easily work with you; in turn your output will be increased.
Set your goals
Basing on your tasks, deadlines given by your boss, plus your objectives set your goals in line with achieving them. The goals should measurable achievable with the possibility of being achieved with in a given timeframe. You can set your goals to increase on your performance per week or month.

Reward employees performance
Rewarding employees with sincere recognition, appreciation, praise or monitory terms after achieving a desired performance is a source of motivation to that particular employee and other employees to increase performance.
Emphasize the organisations mission and vision
Emphasizing the organisation’s vision and mission directs the employees to achieving them. If they are familiar with them they will increase their performance to see that they are fulfilled. If employees are so distanced form the mission or vision of the organisation they may not be focused or challenged by any thing to perform better or more.
Conduct short term assessments
When employees are aware that they will be assessed after a week of month they are sensitive about their performance than those who are assessed after a whole year or not assessed at all. This also encourages competitiveness among employees which is for the benefit of the organisation.
Communicate effectively to employees
If employees are informed of what the managers want they can be able to perform basing on informed decisions. Effective communication also helps in a way that in case of any risks at with their work, breakdowns or opportunities employees are able to inform the bosses or instructors in time.
