60Though there are many people who want to lose weight, there are so many others who want to gain weight. Some people want to gain weight for looks, others want to gain weight for sport and I have seen many who want to gain weight in order to match their spouses or lover. Gaining weight can also be for healthy reasons since weight problem certainty effect the quality of life.
Smart weight gain strategies must certainly include exercise and a deity higher in calories. Without exercise, extra calories turn mainly into body fat which will increase your weight problems and make you vulnerable to disease. Remember, you aim is not to turn obese but to gain weight. For that reason, there is no way you can avoid exercise.
You should increase you intake of calories. Do this especially with foods high in complex carbohydrates, such as bread, pasta, rice potatoes, beans and vegetable.
To gain more weight, you will also need to eat more frequently, you will have to increase on your number of meals per day but avoid over eating, over eating may on the other hand bring your other health problems, that is why you need to draw a line between over eating and eating frequently.
Eat nutritious snacks only; some snacks may have little or no positive value to your health. But you have to eat those salads two three hours before meals to avoid spoiling your appetite.

Thanks. This is a Hub I have to read again 2 weeks before I visit Africa as my mum always complains that I look thin.
